Here, we share the main result of our project – the Report (in two parts): “The Capacity of Polish and Romanian Stakeholders to Provide Support to Ukrainian Refugees with Disabilities in the Metropolitan Areas of Warsaw and Bucharest” and The Toolkit as a supplement. These publications depict the organisational effort to support disabled refugees from Ukraine to Warsaw and Bucharest. The audience for them is organisations that have the potential to assist refugees with disabilities across the World, and the intention is to bring closer to them the experience of Poland and Romania when confronted with the sudden large flow of refugees from Ukraine following the Russian 2022 wave of aggressions.
The first part of the Report summarises the research results and presents recommendations for a broad audience. The toolkit as a supplement collects a series of good practices and brings them back to service providers to boost their rapid intervention in case of misfortunate large-scale events that produce refugees.
